Haolu Wang (王昊鹭) is a Chinese writer-director based in London.

 

Her work explores our journeys from within.

She most recently directed an episode of Black Mirror S7. Previously she directed episodes 5-8 of the Netflix limited series BODIES produced by Moonage Pictures, for which she received a BAFTA nomination.

She is developing her first feature film Monster in the Lake with producers Julia Godzinskaya and Sophie Vickers with the support of the BFI.

​

Her psychological drama and fantasy shorts have screened around the world and won awards.

 

She is an MA Directing Fiction graduate of UK's National Film and Television School, a BAFTA Scholarship recipient, and an alumna of Berlinale Talents.
